2. What this site does

francescocogliandro.com is a portfolio and service information website. It does not require registration and does not host contact forms that submit data to our servers.

You can browse the site, switch language and theme, share the digital business card, contact us via email or WhatsApp, and optionally start a Stripe Checkout session for paid plans.

3. Data stored on your device

The site saves two preferences in your browser localStorage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us automatically:

• theme — your light or dark mode choice
• fc-locale — your English or Italian language preference

4. Data processed when you use the site

When you use certain features, limited data is processed as follows:

• Checkout: clicking a plan sends the selected plan and language to our server, which creates a Stripe Checkout session. Payment and billing details are collected by Stripe on their pages, not on this site.
• Checkout success page: Stripe may append a session_id to the return URL. It is shown on the confirmation page for your reference and is not stored in a database on this site.
• Email and WhatsApp links: open your email client or WhatsApp. Any message you send is handled by those services under their own policies.
• Share card: uses your browser share sheet or clipboard. No upload to our servers.
• Hosting (Vercel): standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp) may be generated to deliver and secure the site.

5. Cookies and consent

We use CookieYes to show a cookie banner and record your consent choices. CookieYes may set cookies and process technical data needed to manage consent. You can review or change your choices via the banner or revisit control on the site.

We do not set marketing or analytics cookies directly in the site code. Any non-essential cookies depend on your consent through CookieYes.

6. Third-party services

The site links to or integrates the following third parties:

• CookieYes — cookie consent management (cdn-cookieyes.com)
• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
• Vercel — website hosting
• WhatsApp / Meta — when you open a WhatsApp chat link
• Social and project links (GitHub, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and others) — each governed by its provider

7. Legal basis (GDPR)

Where EU data protection law applies, we rely on:

• Consent — for non-essential cookies via CookieYes
• Contract — when you start a checkout for a paid service
• Legitimate interest — to operate, secure, and improve the website, and to respond to contact requests you initiate

8. Retention

localStorage preferences remain until you clear them in your browser.

CookieYes and Stripe retain data according to their policies and our configuration.

Hosting logs are kept for the period defined by Vercel and operational needs.

9. Your rights

If GDPR applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also withdraw cookie consent at any time via CookieYes.

You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

10. Changes

We may update this policy when the site or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
